Meet Dr. G (Seth Greenberg)

Inspired by the Van Halen music video “Jump,” Dr. G began playing the guitar at the age of 12. His first two years of lessons were with Mark Burkert. Dr. G completed a PhD in Musicology and a Master's in Classical Guitar Performance with Jack Sanders from the Claremont Graduate University. In addition, he received his Bachelor's in Jazz Guitar Performance from the University of the Arts.

He teaches beginner, intermediate, and advanced private students. Red Note Press publishes his eight books including The Guitarist's Guide series on Harmonizing Melodies, Sight Reading, and Music Theory Fundamentals. His first book about a famed jazz guitarist Billy Bean: The Life and Music of a Jazz Guitar Legend, has received worldwide acclaim.
